Speaker 1: Hello, and happy new year. Welcome to the year 2026. Today, we're gonna be starting a new podcast series this month entitled New Year, New Grace, where we'll be addressing renewal, restoration, deliverance, and healing. I wanna open up today's session by covering the key scripture, which comes from Romans twelve two. And I wanna start by saying that a new year or a new beginning starts with renewal. Before God restores, delivers, or heals, he renews. Renewal is the clearing away of old patterns, old mindsets, and old weights so God can breathe fresh life into us again. Paul tells us in Romans twelve two that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. That renewal happens through the power of God's word. His word washes our thinking, reorders our priorities, and softens our hearts where life has made them hardened. But strongholds often resist renewal. A stronghold tells us this is just who we are or nothing will ever change or you're not good enough. But the word of God tells us that through him, all things are possible, and he makes all things new. Our part in this process is prayer. Praying the word over our lives, praying over our thoughts, and saying, lord, remove anything that keeps me from being renewed. This is where the journey starts, asking God to renew our minds, renew our strength, and renew our desire to seek him above everything else. And now allow me to pray for you. Lord, renew my mind, renew my spirit, and renew my hunger for you. Let your word break old patterns and shape new ones. I give you every stronghold, every thought, every secret place in my heart that needs fresh breath. Make all things new in me. In Jesus' name, amen.
